Rise & Shine Smoothie Recipes

Coffee Smoothie

SERVES 1 (serving size: 11/4 cups) CALORIES 157; FAT 0g (sat 0g,unsat 0g); PROTEIN 3g; CARB 38g; FIBER 3g; SUGARS 27g (added sugars 12g); SODIUM 28mg 

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp. instant espresso coffee powder
  • 1 Tbsp. hot water
  • 1 small banana, sliced and frozen
  • 1/4 cup fat-free milk
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • Ground cinnamon (optional)

Place espresso powder and hot water in a blender; stir and let stand 1 minute. Add banana, milk, and honey; process until smooth. Gradually add ice; process until smooth. Pour into a glass and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon, if desired. Serve immediately. 

Citrus Sunrise Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened refrigerated coconut milk (such as Silk)
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 small banana, sliced and frozen
  • 1/2 cup frozen mango
  • 1/2 cup plain 2% reduced-fat Greek yogurt
  • 2 tsp. chopped walnuts

SERVES 1 (serving size: about 1 cup) CALORIES 345; FAT 8g (sat 4g, unsat 4g); PROTEIN 14g; CARB 58g; FIBER 5g; SUGARS 41g (added sugars 0g); SODIUM 59mg

Place coconut milk and orange juice in a blender. Add banana, mango, and yogurt; process until smooth. Pour into a glass top with walnuts. Serve immediately. 

Fruits & Yogurt Smoothie

SERVES 2 (serving size: about 2 cups) CALORIES 310; FAT 3g (sat 2g, unsat 1g); PROTEIN 13g; CARB 61g; FIBER 4g; SUGARS 49g (added sugars 0g); SODIUM 56mg; 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup frozen sweet cherries
  • 1 cup plain 2% reduced-fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup pomegranate-cup pomegranate-POM)
  • 1 (8-oz.) can crushed pineapple in juice, drained
  • 1 banana, sliced

Place all ingredients in a blender; process until smooth. Serve immediately.
