This easy chicken piccata recipe is a classic Italian American dish with a lemon butter caper sauce that’s fast to make at home!

Ingredients

Directions

Step1

Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness. Season both sides with salt and black pepper, then lightly coat them with flour. Shake off any excess flour.

Step2

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for about 3–4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.

Step3

In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute. Add the chicken broth and fresh lemon juice, stirring to combine. Stir in the capers and let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes until it slightly thickens.

Step4

Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the lemon-caper sauce over it. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices. Serve hot with pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or your favorite vegetables.

Step5

Enjoy!!
