Fried onions and potatoes

Step 1

Prepare the potatoes by washing and chopping them into cubes about half an inchPeel the onion, then slice it very thinly. After heating the oil in a large skillet over medium heat, gently toss in the potatoes, then cover the pan with a lid and keep the heat at medium Fry the potatoes for ten minutes, stirring them a few times throughout that time.

Continue to fry, uncovered, tossing the mixture regularly, for 10–15 minutes more, or until the potatoes are completely cooked through and beginning to become crispy. If it’s required, turn down the heat or add a few drops of water to prevent it from burning.
