For the Lavender Glaze

Step1

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one by one, mixing each time. Mix in lemon juice, zest, and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and milk in parts. Mix gently, don’t overmix.

Grease your pan or molds. Fill each about 2/3 with batter. Bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and cooked. Cool for 5 minutes, then place on a rack to cool fully.

Warm milk and add lavender. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes. Strain the lavender, then mix with sugar and lemon juice. Adjust to make it smooth and pourable. Pour glaze over cooled cakes. Let it set for 10 minutes, then serve
